Apple plans to support iPhone 12 5G connectivity in dual SIM sim mode

A new report revealed today that Apple plans to support the connection of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro to 5G networks when choosing to place the twin SIM sim card later this year.

On the opposite hand, apple's new versions of the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro support sim and eSIM, to support phone connectivity to 2 networks at an equivalent time, but iPhone 12 will only support communication with 4G LTE networks when the 2 segments are activated.

Phones also are expected to modify from 5G networks to 4G LTE networks automatically when using the 2 segments, so users will got to remove the SIM card from the phone to support 5G networks within the eSIM chip, and therefore the dual slide pattern support for 5G networks is scheduled to return through an update from Apple later this year for the iPhone 12.
